Andy Warhol 1928-1987
Moonwalk (F&S II.405) is the second screen print in Warhol’s 1987 two-part portfolio of the Apollo 11 mission. While the composition mirrors F&S II.404, this variation represents a formal reworking that reflects Warhol’s interest in seriality and reinterpretation. As with his earlier portraits of celebrities, the shift in colour and emphasis invites viewers to reconsider the subject as image rather than event.
Issued in an edition of 160 and signed lower right in pencil, this print is offered by Coskun Fine Art in excellent condition, with full documentation and authentication available upon request.
