About Coskun

Coskun specializes in Post-War and Contemporary Art and is Europe's leading dealer in works by Andy Warhol, carrying a large inventory of unique and editioned prints, drawings and works on canvas.

Coskun, who is known as the main Warhol dealer in Europe, was the first gallery in London to represent Andy Warhol on a large scale with an extensive and meticulously vetted inventory.  Through fostering close relationships with the Andy Warhol Foundation and the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Coskun was able to offer works acquired directly from the Foundation's warehouse.  On many occasions, Coskun organized exhibitions in association with the Museum or the Foundation, often showing works that had never been seen in the UK.  Warhol Portraits, the installation of Warhol's silent movie 'Empire', and the 'Mao' exhibition with the Mao Wallpaper installation courtesy of the Warhol Museum are just a few examples of these collaborative exhibitions.  Gül Coskun was also given the prestigious license to publish Andy Warhol stationery by the Andy Warhol Foundation.  Under Coskun's trained eye, the stationery line was a global success with products being placed in the Buckingham Palace Gift Shop and other major museums such as Tate Modern, and MOCA among others.

Through her love of Rodin, in 2000, Gül Coskun also partnered with the Musée Rodin in Paris to become their sole representative in the UK.  This close collaboration yielded multiple exhibitions showcasing the bronzes of Auguste Rodin in the gallery on loan from the museum.

Coskun's achievements have been noted by the Financial Times, The Times, and have also landed her on the much coveted cover of Forbes.

A commitment to high standards in all aspects of the process of buying and selling artwork has been a hallmark of Coskun since its inception.  Putting clients' interests first is the driving force behind the gallery's long-standing success.  Insuring quality archival framing and conservation, assisting with all areas of collection building from sourcing works to installation, and having a policy of buying back artworks or reselling on behalf of a client, are just a few of the ways that Coskun ensures that clients' interests remain the top priority.
